Submission the Bill of Amendment to the Countering Financing of Terrorism Act to the Parliament
In order to eliminate the deficiencies of the Countering Financing of Terrorism Act in specific items including: the need to determine the scope of the inclusion of terrorist offences, requires the separation of designated individuals or terrorist organizations from others, and the provision of a proper legal mechanism for the confiscation of funds, assets and tools to commit terrorist financing as well as designated individuals and terrorist groups. The bill of “Amendment to the Countering Financing of Terrorism Act” was proposed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and was approved by the Cabinet at the session on 29/10/2017. Now, it is presented to the Parliament to take its relevant legislative procedures.
