Submission the Bill of Accession of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism
The International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism is a convention approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations in order to prevent and counteract the various forms and examples of international terrorism by cutting off the financial resources of terrorist individuals, organizations and groups. Considering that the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this Convention will provide suitable legal means for international cooperation in the field of preventing the financing of terrorist groups, the bill of "Accession of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention for the Suppression of Financing of Terrorism" was proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was approved by the Cabinet at its open session on 29/10/2017. Now, it is presented to the Parliament to take its relevant legislative procedures.
